Ms. Misty Milam
Hi, I am Misty Milam. I live in Rome, Ga, where I was born. I love spending time with my family, especially my grandmother and my niece and nephews. I have one dog, Buddy, who is full of energy and loves to play and to dress up.
In 1998, I received my Bachelors’ Degree in Early Childhood Education from Shorter College (now Shorter University). In 2006, I completed my Reading Endorsement. In 2009, I received my Masters’ Degree in Education with a specialization in Elementary Reading and Mathematics through Walden University. In July 2016, I completed my Science Endorsement. In July 2019, I received my TESOL Certificate. This is my twenty third year of teaching. My first three years of teaching were in Floyd County. I have taught in Bartow County for twenty years – three years at Adairsville Elementary School and seventeen years at Clear Creek Elementary School. This will be my fifth year teaching kindergarten. Previously, I have taught third-fifth grades. I have also served as a Tile I Reading and Math Teacher for students in first-fifth grades.

-My favorite season is Winter. I love Christmas and snow!
-My favorite college team is the University of Georgia.
-My favorite professional football team is the Dallas Cowboys.
-My favorite types of food are Italian and Mexican. My favorite restaurants are Longhorn, Cheesecake Factory, Outback, Cheesecake Factory, Chick-fil-A, Chili's, El Nopal, and Okinawa.
-My favorite vacation spots are Walt Disney World and Disneyland. I also love visiting big cities like New York City, Chicago, Dallas, etc.
-My favorite hobbies are cooking, taking Buddy for walks, shopping, traveling, and reading.
-My favorite thing about teaching at CCES is the wonderful people (students, parents, teachers, and staff) here.
